Our Story
The story of Ricamour began in 2007 when we met as students of Surface Textiles at the the London College of Fashion. After graduating, we spent our early years working with design houses such as Alexander McQueen, House of Worth, Matthew Williamson and Jonathan Saunders- experiences that quietly shaped the foundation of our studio.
In 2012, we moved base to Mumbai, India, started Ricamour and got married to each other!
The name is a portmanteau of ‘ricami,’ meaning embroidery, and ‘amour,’ meaning love- expressing our shared passion for everything embroidery and surface design.
At the heart of everything we do is fearless creativity, design thinking and craftsmanship. Over time, our practice has moved beyond the conventional, with our team of skilled artisans reinterpreting classical techniques through a contemporary and exploratory lens.
Today, Ricamour continues to expand the language of embroidery as design across fashion, costume, art and interiors.
